Since1926, Sasso has been operating in the fields of electromechanics, mechatronics, and IIoT.
Over nearly a century of activity, we have not only focused on the maintenance of motors, generators, and transformers, but have consistently worked to improve their efficiency and extend their lifespan — with a commitment that goes beyond the present.
A clear example is our predictive maintenance service, through which we are able to monitor equipment wear in real time, thanks to AI powered by digital twin technology.
Today, Sasso is also engaged in energy production from renewable sources such as water and solar power.
Our passion for challenges has led us to focus in particular on small-scale hydropower, off-grid photovoltaic systems, and hybrid solutions.
Pioneers in innovation
From the very beginning, Sasso stood out as a pioneer in the electromechanical sector, patenting the first voltage regulation system for electric generators and, at every technological step, introducing innovative equipment to optimize the performance of electrical machines and their associated systems.

In 1926 Sasso was born thanks to Silvestro Sasso, who founded the workshop after receiving a license in electromechanics in 1922.

1930
In the 1930s and 1940s, Sasso began to become increasingly well known, forming partnerships and carrying out work for prestigious companies in the area. During this period, maintenance grew rapidly, driven by the development of skills and technical knowledge, which enabled it to offer increasingly advanced solutions. The newly introduced patent for the tension leveler stands out in the market, competing with other companies’ inventions.

In the 1950s and 1960s, growth accelerated and the workshop became increasingly specialized in the development of fast-acting equipment for automatic voltage regulation, electric pump sets, and transformer substations. At the same time, it continued to expand its expertise in spare parts and maintenance, as well as developing electronic automatisms for power plants.

1970
In the 1970s, the path of expansion continued, reaching the era of great technological acceleration, which profoundly transformed the industry in the following decades.

1980
In the 1980s a path extended to all other forms of self-generation of energy from renewable and non-renewable sources. The company’s management, carried on by the grandchildren, has enabled it to take up the legacy of grandfather Silvestro and his son Dante, consolidating expertise in the electromechanical and energy sectors.

1990
In the 1990s, activity shifted toward stand-alone electrification systems, integrating renewable energy into hybrid systems-with innovative and advanced storage solutions-and energy-ICT technologies, offering efficient and customized solutions. It participates in European projects and collaborates with government organizations on renewable energy and sustainable development issues.

2000
Since 2000, the inherited skills have been combined with the know-how of national and international partners, leading to the birth of innovative start-ups such as PHPower®, geared toward the digitization of energy services through an IoT platform, and synergies with major entities such as EDF – ElettricitéDeFrance -and Elettra Investimenti.
